Davis Calibration Hires New CIO

BALTIMORE - September 8, 2009 - Davis Calibration (DavisCalibration.com) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Meighan as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Meighan comes to Davis Calibration with more than 17 years of experience in business operations, technology leadership and consulting, and program management. Most recently Meighan served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for OneWorld Lab. In that capacity, he was responsible for developing a suite of technology solutions to improve the quality of medical laboratories and healthcare facilities in developing countries. Prior to that, Meighan spent more than nine years with EMG, one of the nation's largest engineering and environmental consulting firms. As CIO and a member of the EMG Executive Management team, Meighan led the development and deployment of numerous software development projects and business process applications which resulted in new revenue growth and improved turnaround time for EMG.

As Davis Calibration's CIO, Meighan will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IT strategy and operations for employees and clients; building an IT roadmap that is aligned with the business goals and objectives of the company, running the professional development of the IT team; and assisting Davis Calibration and all of its employees in reaching their collective and individual potential.

Meighan is a graduate of the US Naval Academy with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering and is a Navy Veteran of the Gulf War and several other deployments.
